Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for administration, clerical and reception support for the day-to day operations for Lac Seul Police Service. This individual will provide support in an environment where confidentiality is required. The Administrative Assistant will report to the Director of Corporate Services.
Responsibilities
Greet visitors at the front reception area and provide general support
Handle queries and complaints via phone and in person
Run Errands
Oversee all office equipment and order supplies as needed
Oversee all filing and proper storage (administration & finance)
Answering phones, email, and faxes
Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and parcels
Ability to handle office equipment
Create Word and Excel documents as needed
Maintain and update contact lists and other office lists
Data Entry
Assist the Director of Corporate Services with HR and other duties as required
Compile and update Employee files
Assist in Payroll, Accounts Payables, and Accounts Receivables
Complete Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks for the public
Guarding prisoners when required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 or completion of a recognized diploma
1 year experience in office setting
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent written and communication skills
Interacts with the public, external agencies and authorities in a positive manner
Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Valid Driver’s License
Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check, and Clear Child Abuse Checks
Experience with Sage 50 and ADP as Asset
Finance and or Human Resource Experience an Asset

Salary: $67,043.96 Annually. Training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Location: Frenchman’s Head, Lac Seul, ON Term: Full- time Position
Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
