Terrence was born and spent his early years in Kenora before moving to Lac Seul First Nation (“LSFN”) in the early 1990s. In the early 2000s Terrence relocated to Thunder Bay to attend Confederation College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2006. Terrence returned to LSFN,
settling in Frenchman’s Head in 2008 and beginning his career as the sole IT Administrator for LSFN. He has helped grow the department and increase internet connectivity for LSFN members and institutions. Terrence is now the IT Director for LSFN, managing a staff of four full time employees. Terrence served previously on the Board in the early 2000s. In Spring 2023, Terrence rejoined the Board and looks forward to working to increase community safety with a particular focus on the safety of LSFN’s children and youth, including programs like safe ATV operator trainings and bike rodeos.
Terrence hopes to help the Board and Service to grow their size and strength, and to develop and maintain strong connections between the LSPS and the LSFN members which it serves. Terrence highly values the existence of a stand-alone police service for LSFN, ensuring the ability to uphold and value the unique ways of being which are central to life in LSFN.
