Chief of Police Message
On behalf of the Lac Seul Police Service, I am honored to bring greetings from our organization, leaders and staff.
As the Covid 19 pandemic is coming to an end I would like to thank and recognize our officers and the many first responders that stayed committed to the communities they served throughout the pandemic. During this time our police service faced many new challenges that came upon us without warning. The police service has grown from this and has taken a new positive approach in policing.
I look forward to working with the Police Board and bring many new ideas to enhance the police service so we can continue to provide effective safe policing to our communities. This will include developing drug enforcement strategies not only to fight this cause but also educate our communities in this area. We take pride in providing a culturally sensitive policing approach in our communities and recognize the trauma caused by the residential school era, that our citizens face everyday. Our members will be wearing Orange annually in September in support of Truth and Reconciliation and Every Child Matters. We will continue to work hard to provide mental health supports to our victims of violence and commit to being more involved with the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Woman Girls and Two-Spirt People.
I look forward to meeting the community and working together to make the Lac Seul communities a safer place to enjoy.
