LAC SEUL POLICE SERVICE INITIATE TRAFFIC STOP AND HAVE ARRESTED AND CHARGED TWO INDIVIDUALS WITH DRUG TRAFFICKING OFFENCES
(LAC SEUL FIRST NATION, ON) – On October 22nd, 2024, two local Lac Seul First Nation individuals were arrested and charged with trafficking offences after Police initiated a traffic stop on Lac Seul Road.
Lac Seul Police Service Deployed K-9 “Kona” and upon search of the suspect vehicle, Police located approximately 48 grams of suspected cocaine with an approximate street value of $4800, Canadian currency and paraphernalia indicative of drug trafficking.
33-year-old Kirstie KEJICK and 23-year-old Mariha Derusha from The Lac Seul First Nation have been criminally charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.
Both individuals were held for a bail hearing and since have been released on a Release Order, scheduled to appear in Lac Seul Court on November 27th, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
